Teamwork
John
Gottman, Ph.D.
Researchers that study relationships
have found over and over again that the idea of not being selfish,
really going beyond me into we makes all the difference in the world
in terms of the success of that relationship. It seems kind of
paradoxical, but when you really get involved in somebody else and
realize that you're part of a team and put the team before your own
needs, you wind up getting back tenfold.
Martha Sigall
We've always done things for each other. We have respect for each
other. And we've always shared our ideas. We've always shared
everything we've had. It's just been easier to do it that way.
Sol Sigall
And let me add it's been a pleasure doing the things. There are many
times when I want to do something for her and she won't let me. She
says. "I'll take care of it, I'll do it". When I'm not feeling well,
especially. She does everything, everything. Nothing is too much for
her.
Martha Sigall
The way we've done it, we always think of the other one first, and
when you do that it comes back to you. It always comes back to you.
Sol Sigall
I guarantee, it comes back to you a thousand fold. It works. |
