The Couples- Molly and Patrick O'Shea

Molly O'Shea believes in love at first sight. "The first night that
we went out we were standing in line to see "The Way We Were". I
looked at him and I thought Oh my God, I'm going to marry this guy.
And I didn't want to get married until I was at least 30 but I just
knew that it was over. I was getting married". Molly is a social
worker and Patrick is a delivery man. They have three children.
Twenty six years of marriage has taught them that the tough times can
make or break a relationship. In their case, the challenges were
opportunities to grow, learn and sometimes, to have fun. When their
children were young, Molly opted to stay home while Pat took on
another job bartending to make ends meet. "I would have the kids all
in bed and I would have cooked a nice dinner. He comes home and and
we'd sit and count the change and the tips. It was some of the
funnest times," says Molly. |
