Nancy and Chuck Fishers

The Fishers first year of marriage was marked with the challenge of
Chuck being a Dallas based undercover Army Intelligence agent. He was
deeply involved with JFK's assassination investigation and would be
gone for weeks at a time with little contact to his new bride, Nancy.
The Fishers have perfected their conflict resolution over the years.
As Nancy points out, "Well, if you stop to think about it , all
arguments are about who's right. If you stop to think about it,
that's a dumb thing to argue about. Most of the time when people have
arguments they can't remember how it started or what dumb little
thing it started over. It's how it escalated. So hopefully it's
better to be kind than to be right." The Fishers have one son and
have been together for almost forty years. |
