Conflict Resolution
John
Gottman, Ph.D.
Most marital conflicts never get resolved. People either adapt to
them and cope with them or they don't. When you pick somebody to
marry, when you make a commitment to somebody, you've automatically
inherited your set of relationship problems that have no solution
that you'll have the for the next ten, twenty, thirty, forty, fifty
years of your life together.
Nancy Fisher
Well, if you stop to think about, it all arguments are about who's
right. No matter what it is. So if you stop to think about it, that's
a dumb thing to argue about. Most of the time when people have
arguments they can't remember how it started or what dumb little
think it started over. It's how it escalated So hopefully it's better
to be kind than to be right.
